John was born and raised in Buxton and served locally, regionally and nationally as a police officer for 30 years. Sally was also a police officer and after 12 years of service retrained as a lawyer and worked in the criminal courts.

Now retired, they host a true crime podcast, True Crime Investigators UK and all the cases reviewed are UK based.  John and Sally visit the scenes of the crime, interview those relevant to the case, witnesses, defendants, victims and their families, police officers, medics, forensic scientists and other experts and draw upon their career experiences to address the issues that a case may highlight.
