Leading the session is Mark Dawson, a historian specializing in the history of food and drink in the early modern period. Unlike traditional food histories that focus mainly on printed cookbooks and the habits of the wealthy, Mark’s research digs deeper — drawing from the documentary evidence of everyday life to reveal what was really happening in the kitchens and households of ordinary people.

His ground-up approach brings authenticity and new insights to the table — and to your plate.
Don’t miss this chance to savour the stories and flavours of the past!
