The Queen Bee has disappeared… and the hive is in chaos! Can your family help solve the mystery and track her down?
This summer, take part in “The Case of the Missing Queen!” — a free, fun-filled trail that’s perfect for families exploring Buxton during the Fringe Festival.
20 woolly bees are hiding in shop windows across the town — each with a clue and a letter to help solve the final puzzle. Collect all 20 and crack the anagram to reveal where the Queen Bee is hiding!
📍 How to Take Part:
🐝 Pick up your trail sheet from The Pump Room, opposite the Crescent
🐝 Follow the map and explore Buxton’s brilliant independent shops
🐝 Spot the bees, solve the clues, and submit your answer for a chance to win a small prize!
This trail is a collaboration with the award-winning Friends of Buxton Station, celebrating nature, creativity, and community. Together we’re spreading the word about Buxton’s rare Bilberry Bumblebee, found on the moorlands above the town — and encouraging families to explore local heritage, wildlife and the high street in one buzzing adventure!
