It Takes a Child (to Raise a Village)
Teen playwright Archie Hambleton presents It Takes a Child (to Raise a Village), a heartwarming tale of a young shopkeeper whose bold acts of kindness ripple through a community in the countdown to Christmas. This original performance invites audiences to reflect on generosity, courage, and the spirit of togetherness during the festive season.
The event takes place within The Buxton Crescent Experience, housed in the iconic Georgian Crescent, an architectural treasure that once hosted a subscription library and newsroom, a post office, and petrification shops selling ornaments crafted from marble and blue-john. The setting offers a rich historical backdrop for Archie’s contemporary storytelling, connecting past and present through place and purpose.
