Monday 21 September
Polydolci Harmonies – Recorder music of the Georgian Age
7.00pm-8.00pm – donations welcome
Step back into the elegance of the Georgian era with a live performance by the Buxton Recorder Group, playing a selection of charming Polydolci music from the period.
Wednesday 23 September
The Georgian Group Talk: Conserving Georgian Heritage
6.00pm – 7.00pm
Join Tom, Senior Conservation Adviser for Northern England at The Georgian Group, for an engaging exploration of Georgian architecture across the North West. This illustrated talk highlights the diversity of Georgian built heritage from grand urban buildings to rural and vernacular structures while examining the challenges of conservation through real case studies.
Thursday 24 September
Regency Public Breakfast Brunch Buffet in the splendid Buxton Crescent Hotel between 11am and 1pm
Join us for a sociable morning gathering inspired by the fashionable breakfasts once enjoyed by visitors to Buxton.
Regency Turban Workshop with Gabrielle Helena Couture
10.00am to 1pm
Join Gabrielle of Gabrielle Helena Couture in making a Regency Toque Turban, which is a great alternative to a Regency bonnet.
Hot Chocolate Meet-Up
12:00pm (non ticketed event – limited space)
A relaxed social gathering celebrating one of the Georgian era’s most fashionable drinks. Enjoy a warming hot chocolate in a cosy setting overlooking the Crescent.
Afternoon Tea & Talk: “Page-Turner” by Richard Foulkes
2:00pm – The Crescent
A fascinating journey into 18th-century society, inspired by the portrait of Sir Gregory Page-Turner. Discover connections to the Grand Tour, Georgian high society, and royal circles.
Peterloo – A musical history by Sean Cooney
4.30pm – 5.30pm
In this presentation – part talk, part performance – Sean Cooney who is a powerful voice in British folk music and theatre – will detail how he used historic first hand accounts to create his latest musical odyssey, Peter’s Field.
Evening Performance: Voluta Quartet
The Pump Room – 7pm
Presented by musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music.
An exciting programme of classical and contemporary string quartet music from this award-winning ensemble.
Friday 25 September
Millinery Workshop: Regency Headwear with Jane Walton (Hatsperiod)
10:30am – 12:30pm
Create your own Regency-inspired feathered headdress using traditional techniques and materials. All supplies included.

Pump Room Talk: The Royal School of Needlework

A talk by Lucy Martin, Head of Contemporary Programmes, delving into the history of the Royal School of Needlework and its work on preserving the techniques for the future.

Promenade & Parade of Troops

Join a costumed promenade through Georgian Buxton, accompanied by troops around the Crescent.
Living History Day

Experience Georgian life brought vividly to life through reenactors, demonstrations, exhibits, and interactive activities for all ages.
Georgian Market

Anna Seward: Woman of Enlightenment (Promenade Performance)
11:00am
A lively and insightful portrayal of the poet and social commentator, offering a rare female perspective on Georgian society.
Gentle Promenade with ‘Anne Lister’
1:00pm & 3:00pm
A guided historical walk exploring Anne Lister’s time in Buxton, led by a costumed interpreter.
Calligraphy Workshop: Happy Lettering by H
10:00am – 12:00pm
Learn the art of pointed pen calligraphy in a relaxed, creative workshop. Includes materials and a take-home kit.
Buxton Regency Ball – from 7.30pm
The event everyone wants to be at during this Georgian Festival as it is a real spectacle. Please note that this event is fully booked for 2026.

Buxton Crescent is accessible by wheelchair and fitted with accessible lift and toilet facilities.
The Pump Room is one-level Assistance dogs are welcome in Buxton Crescent and the Pump Room.
We also have a hearing loop in The Pump Room.
Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust welcomes all to our attractions and events. Those that require the assistance of an essential carer to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit may ask for a complimentary essential carers ticket for their companion. These are available to anyone with an Access Card or anyone in receipt of the higher rate of Personal Independence Payments (PIP), Attendance Allowance (AA) or Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
Essential Carers tickets can be purchased alongside a standard ticket from the Pump Room, on the phone (01298 214577) or on the ticketing section of our website for events and the Buxton Crescent Experience.
The Pump Room is fitted with an accessible toilet.
Buxton Crescent has male, female and accessible toilets.
The Pavilion Gardens have public toilet facilities, just 5 minutes walk away.
Dogs are very welcome in the Pump Room and we always have complimentary dog treats at the Visitor Information desk.
Assistance dogs are allowed in the Buxton Crescent Experience and in the Assembly Rooms.
A variety of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks are usually available during events in the Pump Room.
