Through music and word, trace the story of Tango from the slave plantations of the Caribbean to the infested swamps of Buenos Airess, from the stunning tangos of Golden Age to the explosion of late twentieth century Tango Nuevo.
Interwoven with the story of an Argentine friend who lived through the challenges of this remarkable recent history.

‘Power and Passion’…… ‘Transported to another Time and Place’……
Having performed in venues and festivals across the UK, ‘Lullaby of Andalusia’ was premièred at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall as the scene setter for Paco Peña’s ‘Requiem Flamenco’ and ‘Histoire du Tango’ was performed to a sell-out crowd at the prestigious Three Choirs Festival.

This talk will take place in the Buxton Pump Room, opposite the Buxton Crescent. The Crescent Buxton SK17 6BH The entrance for the talk will be at the right hand door of the Pump Room. There is level access.
