The Trustees and team at the Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust are thrilled to announce that the much anticipated Buxton Crescent Visitor Experience is officially opening on Tuesday 20th, and booking is now live on our website.
The brand-new, boutique attraction, set in nine rooms in the Georgian Crescent reveals the story of a special spa town, the remarkable restoration and Buxton’s famous water.
The hosted experience lasts just over an hour and is fully accessible. Entry will be by pre-booked timed tickets, in ‘Buxton Bubble’ groups of between 1 and 6 people from the same household or support bubble.
We are only releasing a very limited number of timed ticket slots in the first phase but hope to add further times and dates soon. We plan to announce a Buxton residents’ offer in the next few weeks and that is in addition to the ongoing Derbyshire discount.
The Trust’s Patron, The Duke of Devonshire commented that “It is heartening to see so many years of hard work and determination coming to fruition with the reopening of the Crescent and the launch of the Buxton Crescent Visitor Experience. I am proud to continue the connection between Chatsworth and the Crescent, and the Experience provides a wonderful opportunity for people to learn more about the town, the building and the people who helped shape the Buxton we know today. The redevelopment of the entire Crescent complex will further strengthen the tourism sector within Derbyshire, and support those businesses associated with the industry”
