Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust Wins Two Major Awards at Prestigious Regional Ceremony
Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust is celebrating a remarkable achievement after winning two major awards at the Visit Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Awards 2025/26, held last night at Derby County Football Club. These awards celebrate excellence across the region’s tourism and hospitality sector, recognising the people, businesses and organisations that make the area such a special place to visit.
The Trust were Silver Award winners in the Tourism Young Achiever of the Year and Festival/Event of the Year categories, recognising both the outstanding contribution of its emerging talent and the success of one of Buxton’s most distinctive cultural events.
The Tourism Young Achiever of the Year award celebrates the exceptional work of apprentice and team member Dylan Torr, whose dedication, customer engagement and enthusiasm have supported a wide range of heritage and visitor projects. His achievement reflects the Trust’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of heritage and tourism professionals.
The Trust also secured the Festival/Event of the Year award for the Buxton Georgian Festival, a flagship event that continues to grow in scale, ambition and public support. Held annually in September, this flagship event, under the direction of Events Manager, Matt Howarth, has become one of Buxton’s most distinctive cultural events, attracting visitors from across the UK and around the world.
