The door is 110cm/ 43 & half inches wide.
The main door is opened by staff.
1-inch threshold entrance
Colonnade
The colonnade entrance has handrails to assist.
The Steps can become slippery in wet weather.

Getting Around Inside
Ground level
The ground level of the Experience consists of 5 rooms.
Room 1,3,4 and 5 have seating.
The Accessible toilet is on this level please talk to a member of staff for directions when on the tour.
If you need to use the lift you must be accompanied by a member of staff
Stairs
We have two sets of stairs, both with 14 steps.
The steps are well worn so we suggest caution.
Visitors who cannot use the stairs or do not feel comfortable using the stairs can ask to use our lift.
Basement Level
The Basement level of the experience consists of 4 rooms and has uneven flooring and low ceilings.
Room 6 and 9 have seating.
You can request seating in room 7 and 8.
Room 8 has very dim lighting, moving projections and bright lights.

• The Lift is 90cm/35 inches wide and 213cm/84 inches deep.
• There is a Handrail in the lift.
• If you need to use the lift you must be accompanied by a member of staff.
Toilet Access
The Accessible Toilet door is 86cm/34 inches wide.
The Accessible Toilets has a level tiled floor.
If you are in need of help, there is Call button on the right wall by toilet.
On left by toilet there is a Emergency Cord for help
Handrail by toilet is 68cm/27 inches from the floor.
Wash basin has handrail and is 74cm/29 inches from the floor.
Hand dryer is 94cm/37 inches from the floor.

The route through the shop is more than 155cm wide. Display information is low, for wheelchair users. There is seating available for visitors.

From the entrance to the desk, there is level access. The route is 155cm wide, or more. Tourist information Desk
The desk has a low section.
The Low section of the desk measurements are width (41 inches /105cm) And height (25 inches / 63cm)

Pavilion Garden is the nearest facility that has toilet areas that can be utilized by people with assistance dogs. This Facility is located 321 meters from Buxton Visitor Centre.
