Learning in Buxton

Buxton has a long and fascinating history – from prehistoric cave dwellers to Victorian hydrotherapists; Roman invaders to hardworking Limeburners. The Buxton Crescent and Pump Room is at the very centre of the town’s story, and ideally placed to bring learning to life for people of all ages. Thanks to the National Heritage Lottery Fund Resilient Heritage initiative, Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust has partnered with Buxton Museum and Art Gallery and Poole’s Cavern to develop a fantastic all-round Buxton learning experience.
