Help Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust preserve and celebrate the heritage and future of the Crescent.

You are warmly invited

To visit the elegant Victorian Pump Room, dedicated to Arnemetia The Goddess of the Grove to take the thermal mineral waters and experience a trip into the past to find out more about this magnificent space and its history. Rising from 5,000 feet below ground the water is at a constant 27.5 degrees and has been enjoyed since Roman times. Visitors to the town, who would have 'taken the waters' include Mary Queen of Scots, Georgian aristocracy, eminent Victorians such as Darwin and the Wedgwood family. Then in later years by Vera Brittain and more recently by the many visitors to and performers at the Opera House and Buxton's renowned festivals.

Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust presents a programme of evening events featuring talks, music, cultural, artistic, family and educational events. Coming soon.

Our Premium Guided Tours set off in the morning, where you can dive deep into the rich history of our area aided by our warm and wonderful hosts.

For those who prefer to discover at their own pace, the Experience opens to Self-Guided visitors at 1pm.
