Half-Term Fun in Buxton: Free Family Activities and New £2.50 Child Tickets

Families looking for affordable days out this February half term will find plenty to enjoy with Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust. From newly reduced child tickets to free creative activities in the Assembly Rooms, there’s something for all ages to explore.

New £2.50 Child Tickets at the Buxton Crescent Experience

From Saturday 14 February 2026, the Buxton Crescent Experience will open seven days a week and introduce a new £2.50 ticket for children aged 7–16. Children under 7 remain free, and adult tickets continue to offer great value at £14.95. Tickets are available from the Pump Room or online.

The Crescent Experience offers an engaging, all‑weather journey through 10,000 years of Buxton’s history. Families can explore nine immersive rooms inside the Grade I listed Crescent, follow a discovery trail, try on historic costumes, and even take a virtual reality hot air balloon ride over Georgian Buxton.

Free Half-Term Events in the Assembly Rooms

The Trust is hosting two free drop‑in activity days celebrating local creativity and heritage, delivered with partners from across the community.
